Have you peeps seen the not-so-famous ‘Kung Fun Panda’ Movie? Which is about a fat panda trying to become a Kung Fu Master just so he resembles the famous Ying-yang symbol of Chinese philosophy. But believe us, the underlying message in the movie is so true. Especially, When it comes to Filmmaking. Do you know why? Let us share the story of Filmontary to enlighten you about this.
In the beginning, we started of as a group of Filmmakers who wanted to make something true, honest and creative. The reason why ended up making our film ‘Lazarus Heroification’. It’s a passion project which will come out soon. With hard work and perseverance, it took us several years to finance and bring it forth. Still, there was a lot of clamour when we started. At heart, everybody is a filmmaker. Every person has a say in it. So, when you start out there will be a lot of noise. Why? How? When? What’s the profit? What’s the need? Why this Project? Will you earn enough as a production company in an industry that favours the big guns? Some will suggest you to just pick up a camera, and go out and film. But is it that simple? Is that the only way?
Honestly, all these influencers, filmmakers and content creators are just fooling around. It’s a battle of views and likes out there. There are several teachers online trying to grab you by the eyeballs. They will suggest lenses, gears, camera rigs, lens filters, Color grading techniques and whatnot! Some will even advise you to choose a marketing agency and join a talent agency. Some rather popular celebrities will advise you to gather your friends and make a film. But will people see it! Try posting something new on YouTube which is original content! Let’s see when will the post go viral! The truth which no one will tell you is this! No one knows anything every person is vouching based on their own experiences. Some have success stories others have failures.
